Govt Must Explain Why Kulbhushan Jadhav Was Provided Relief, Says Bilawal

Chairman Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the government to explain why Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was 'provided relief' once again.

Earlier today, according to media reports, the government decided to give consular access to Jadhav again and formally informed India about the development.

Addressing a news conference in Sukkur, Bilawal said the government should explain why it had secretly initiated an illegal and unconstitutional ordinance to facilitate the spy. He went on to question why the government 'wanted to provide relief to Jadhav'.

He added that the government will need to tell people whether or not Jadhav has received the benefit of the ordinance. He said the government must also explain why the opposition was not taken into confidence regarding the move.

"Imran Khan is a Prime Minister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Twitter [account]," Bilawal quipped, adding, "he has been unable to resolve the problems confronting the masses."

"In a situation where the government should have been taking measures for the public health, it is trying to get rid of the NFC Award and the 18th Amendment," he maintained. "We appeal the courts to treat everyone equally," Bilawal said and added that the [PPP leader] Khurshid Shah is facing 'injustice'.
