CM Buzdar Says Not Going Anywhere, Vows to Fight Off ‘Conspiracies’

Dismissing speculations regarding his premature departure, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has said that the conspiracies will be foiled again, saying the government will continue with its journey of development.

Speaking to the citizens and the assembly members in Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday, the chief minister said the government is in contact with the masses regarding the development projects on a continuous basis, Dawn reported.

Buzdar went on to say that he belongs to the people and 'even my life is [available] for service to humanity'. He also vowed that the funds designated for South Punjab will not be spent elsewhere, saying they will be spent only on public welfare.

On Thursday, Federal Minister For Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said Punjab CM is not going anywhere, amid speculations that Prime Minister Imran Khan had decided about Buzdar's premature departure.

Recently, senior analyst Sohail Warraich claimed that the premier had agreed to replace Punjab CM. According to him, Aleem Khan is the most favorite candidate for the seat so far but Aslam Iqbal and two others are also in the race.

Despite his below-the-par performance, PM been refusing to remove Buzdar from his post, angering his foes and party members alike.
