Bilawal Meets Fazl, Says JUI-F And PPP Will Work Together To Save Democracy
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House to discuss the anti-government movement.
Sharing pictures of the meeting on Twitter, Bilawal said that the PPP and JUI-F have worked ‘together in the past and we must do so again if we are to overcome challenges to democracy, constitution, NFC & economy’.
Bilawal also mentioned the federal government’s flawed response to the Covid-19 pandemic and said that this has exposed the ‘selected’ Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government on all fronts.
My father & I welcomed Molana Fazal-ur-Rehman at Bilawal House today. JUIF & PPP have worked together in the past & we must do so again if we are to overcome challenges to democracy, constitution, NFC &
economy. The selected government has been exposed on all fronts during COVID pic.twitter.com/aK2uYaBc4q

The meeting between PPP leaders and Fazl came on the heels of a multi-party conference in Karachi that was hosted by JUI-F. After the conference, Fazl had ruled out any support for ‘minus one’ [ouster of Prime Minister Imran Khan] formula and called for “minus all” while reiterating his demand for mid-term elections without any ‘interference from the institutions’ and terming it the only democratic and possible solution to the crisis being faced by the country.
