Will Deal With Locusts Like We Dealt With Corona, Says Minister
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has said that the federal government will deal with the locusts attack the way it dealt with the deadly coronavirus.

The minister, while responding to a question about the locust attack in the country during a press conference on Wednesday, said: “Like Covid-19, a well thought-out strategy is being followed to make the fight against the locust swarms successful.”

He said that National Locust Control Cell (NLCC) has been established to tackle the issue in coordination with all the stakeholders, including the provincial governments. “All the relevant government departments are working in close coordination to address the issue. By June 10, 15 planes will be available for the aerial spray in the affected areas,” he added.
