Three Women Arrested For Forcing House Maid Into Prostitution In Rahim Yar Khan
RAHIM YAR KHAN: Seven people, including three women have been booked by Punjab police on charges of torture, sexual abuse and illegal confinement of a house help.

The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged with City C-Division police by a woman who said that she began working as a live-in house helper at a woman's house in Abbasia Town area of the city. She said that she had been living there for the last two years.

She accused the employer of keeping her in illegal confinement and said that she was not even allowed to visit her house. The complainant also said that the employer and her two sisters forced her into prostitution and tortured her if she protested.

Further, she claimed that on May 22, 2020, her employer had some men over at the house, who tried to rape her (complainant), but she put up a resistance, after which she was severely tortured by the employer and her sisters. She also accused her employer of withholding her salary for several months.
The domestic worker was able to escape from her employer's house on Saturday night and informed some of the neighbours about the treatment meted out to her. She was then brought to the police and a complaint was formally registered.

Dawn News quote police spokesperson Ahmed Cheema as saying that the employer and her two sisters were arrested arrested after registration of a case against them, and other suspects are being chased.
