Minister Hammad Azhar Begins Budget Speech By Blaming PML-N Govt
Minister Hammad Azhar, in his budget speech said that in 2018 the PTI inherited an economic crisis and current account and trade deficits were high. The value of rupee was artificially kept higher. The country was close to getting defaulted, he said.

He also said that the previous government took no action against money laundering and Pakistan was in grey list of terror financing watchdog FATF.

The minister started his speech by saying that it was a proud moment for him to be presenting the budget for the PTI government for the second time. He said that corruption, transparency and accountability have been the basic objectives of the PTI government ever since it came to power.

Federal Minister for Production Hammad Azhar is presenting the 'coronavirus budget' today. GDP growth target for 2020-21 has been set at 2.1 per cent, according to sources. For agricultural sector, a growth rate of 2.8 per cent has been set by the government.
