The PM is known for being affectionate with his dogs. Sheru, an Alsatian breed was a puppy gifted to Imran Khan in 2011 by Parvez Musharraf, before his self-imposed exile. He was born at Musharraf's farmhouse. Imran Khan's ex-wife, Reham Khan mentioned Sheru in her book.

Imran Khan’s dogs have their own Wikipedia page and also made guest appearances in multiple interviews. According to Financial Times, his morning routine includes walking the dogs, reportedly, five of them, which helps him think.

Imran Khan recently said that his dearest Sheru had lost his life earlier. The dog was named Sheru as it means 'tiger', a symbol of bravery and valour.
