Reacting to the reports of rift within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, Punjab Minister for Colonies Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said that Minister Fawad Chaudhry had a habit of unnecessarily disagreeing with everyone and disapproving of everything. "He has an irresponsible and undisciplined attitude", the provincial minister told Channel 24.
Earlier, during the meeting of the federal cabinet today, a number of federal ministers traded barbs over their differences. Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar reportedly raised Minister for Science Fawad Chaudhry’s recent statement about internal rifts within the government. In response, Prime Minister Imran Khan advised the members of the cabinet to be careful while issuing public statements and maintain unity in their ranks.
According to reports by several news channels, Minister Faisal Vawda also expressed his displeasure at his colleagues and said that some ministers have the desire to become deputy prime minister and even prime minister. He also said that ministers say one thing in the cabinet meetings and another during their public appearances.
