Europe Bans PIA Flights For 6 Months Over Fake Licenses Concerns
European Union Air Safety Agency (EASA) has suspended the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) planes to fly to and from Europe in the next six months, the spokesman said on Tuesday.

The statement from PIA said, “EASA has temporarily suspended PIA's authorisation to operate to the EU member states for a period of 6 months effective July 1, 2020, with the right to appeal against this decision.”

PIA will also refund the tickets that had been booked in advance or people will get the option to delay their flights till a later date. Currently, all PIA flights will be discontinued.

The statement also assured that the PIA is making efforts to fix the misunderstanding with the EASA and corrective measures will follow.

"PIA also sincerely hopes that with reparative and swift actions taken by the Government of Pakistan and PIA management, earliest possible lifting of this suspension can be expected", said the press release.
