Secretary Legal Affairs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Youth Wing and Lawyer of US blogger Cynthia Ritchie, Nasir Azeem Khan, has turned against his own client in the case filed against the blogger by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The lawyer said that he had left the defence counsel of Cynthia Ritchie because she didn’t pay his due fees for fighting her case in IHC. He said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah use to take ‘thousands’ as legal assistance fess in his career as a barrister.
While talking about the case, he said: “In last seven to eight days, you wouldn’t see any relevance or connection between Cynthia’s one tweet with another.”

Cynthia’s tweet about the late former premier Benazir Bhutto had triggered a cold war between the US blogger and the leaders of PPP and the ardent followers because of their sentiments being hurt. Later, the US blogger made a statement accusing Rehman Malik of having raped her and Yousuf Raza Gillani of manhandling her in 2011.
