Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while addressing the National Assembly session, said that Prime Minister Imran Khan glorified the status of Osama Bin Ladin, an internationally acclaimed criminal, to the rank of a shaheed (martyr).
Bilawal Bhutto recounted the number of Pakistani soldiers and children that have been murdered by Osama Bin Ladin. "From the assassination of Benazir Bhutto to the 1993 attacks by Ramzi Yousuf, Osama Bin Ladin has been behind these crimes aligned with Al-Qaeda," he said.
He also pointed out that Imran Khan never refers to Benazir Bhutto by the title of Shaheed, even though she lost her life while fighting terrorism in Pakistan, but he calls a terrorist shaheed.
The son of former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto claimed that Imran Khan hasn't raised his voice in the past against the Taliban militancy of Ehsanullah Ehsan and Hakimullah Mehsud because he is a 'coward'.
These remarks were followed by an uproar by the other lawmakers while the speaker National Assembly tried to maintain decorum and tried to silence Bilawal Bhutto by contradicting on the word 'coward'.
As the assembly got heated, Bilawal also suggested that there should be a report against Imran Khan to disclose his corruption. He went on to chant a slogan translating to the speaker being an accomplice of terrorists.
