The emergence of 4,131 new coronavirus infections over the last 24 hours has taken the nationwide tally of the virus to 80,463.
The provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan have confirmed 29,489, 31,086, 10,897, 4,740 cases respectively. Meanwhile, 779 cases in Gilgit-Baltistan, 3,188 in Islamabad, and 284 in Kashmir have been reported to date.
The fatal coronavirus has claimed 1,688 lives in Pakistan, including 67 deaths in last 24 hours, while 28,923 patients have recovered successfully and have been discharged from the hospitals. Moreover, as many as 606 infected patients are currently in critical condition across the country.
