Twitter Services Face Disruption In Pakistan Amid Censorship Fears
Microblogging site Twitter is reportedly inaccessible on several internet service providers in Pakistan. Users experienced disruption in accessing Twitter and Periscope at 10 PM on Sunday. Both platforms remain inaccessible for several users in Pakistan at the time of writing of these lines.

Internet rights group Netblocks confirmed the 'disruption to Twitter and Periscope' and said that it has impacted multiple networks in the country.

Digital Rights Foundation (DRF) has said that it was unclear if the disruption is an act of censorship. Further, a source told Naya Daur that a leading internet service provider has said that they have received no formal instructions from Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to block Twitter.

Although it is early to say whether the suspension of services is a case of state blockade, activists whom Naya Daur spoke to have expressed fears the site may have been blocked by the government.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly
