A Pashtun man was lynched and three others sustained severe injuries in Hazara Town area of Quetta when an enraged mob comprising 300 men attacked them reportedly over a monetary dispute. The attackers belonged to the Hazara community.
According to local sources, another version about the incident suggests that the violence was committed in the name of 'honour' as the attackers had accused some men of recording a video of the Hazara women.
