Nawaz Sharif's Leaked Photo Goes Viral, #NawazSharifRulesHearts Top Trend On Twitter
A photo of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif emerged on social media on Saturday and has been the talk of Twitter for the last several hours. As his daughter Maryam Nawaz turned the photo into her profile display picture, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) workers started using #NawazSharifRulesHearts which quickly became the top trend on Pakistani Twitter.

Maryam tweeted that leaking the photo had backfired badly. “The way one photo of Nawaz can make his opponents lose their mind, it should be pretty clear to them that they only damage themselves through such actions”, she said.

PML-N supporters have so far tweeted the photo thousands of times wishing the former premier a quick recovery and safe return to Pakistan.

One supporter, Shafique Akhtar, tweeted that the photo will give sleepless nights to Sharif’s opponents. Mian Zahid tweeted that Nawaz Sharif is still on his opponents’ nerves.

Zeeshan Khan Niazi tweeted that one look at Nawaz Sharif makes the workers forget all their complaints with the party and its leadership.

“They said they had finished Nawaz but they keep following him around with their cameras”, tweeted another PML-N worker Rana Shazib.

Responding to a supporter who was wondering whether Nawaz was having tea or coffee, Maryam said that Nawaz Sharif always preferred coffee and that Double Espresso was his favourite.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill responded by tweeting a screenshot of Maryam’s tweet with his comment that the photo had proved Nawaz was faking his illness and that he had lied to the state institutions to get out of Pakistan.
