Inquiry Reports Of All Past Plane Crashes Should Be Made Public, Says PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday directed the relevant authorities to make public the investigative reports of all the past air accidents that took place in Pakistan to make the general public aware of the facts regarding the incidents.

The Express Tribune reported that the prime minister, while presiding over a high-level briefing regarding the May 22 Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) PK- 8303 plane crash in Karachi, assured the families of the crash victims that all their demands of justice will be met. PM Imran was briefed about the progress of the investigation, and also informed about the services being taken of foreign experts to make the probe transparent and impartial.

The premier expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of human lives in the plane crash. “There is no substitute for human life. But the government assures the victims that all the demands of justice will be met regarding this tragic incident,” the prime minister said, adding that the public would be fully informed of all the facts and details revealed in the inquiry report.

“In addition to providing all possible facilities and compensation to the families of the martyred passengers, a package should also be prepared to compensate the victims whose homes or properties have been affected by the accident,” the PM directed.

The premier further stressed that in order to make air travel safer, it is necessary to expedite the reform process in civil aviation, PIA and relevant agencies.
