ARY News on Saturday reported that Executive Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Karachi Seemin Jamali has been admitted to a private hospital after contracting coronavirus. Social media users responded to the reports by questioning as to why she chose a private hospital for her treatment when she could have chosen her own public hospital. They said that her choice reveals that she does not trust the services of a hospital that she herself manages.
However, Dr Jamali has clarified that the news of her being infected with the virus is false. "This is totally fake news, I am fine Alhamdulillah", she said in a tweet.
