Disabled Christian Girl Abducted In Lahore, Minister Takes Notice

Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari has taken a notice of a disabled Christian girl’s abduction, who was allegedly kidnapped for ‘sex slavery’ from Lahore’s Sandha area two months ago.

A social media user shared the video of victim’s mother on Twitter, wherein she said that her daughter, Komal Patras, was abducted from her home two months ago. She alleged that the local police was protecting the abductors and paying no attention in bringing her disabled daughter back.

In response to the video, Shiereen Mazari, said: “A shameful and horrific act. Have taken it up. FIR registered. We have copy of it. MOHR following the case now – culprits will be caught.”

The DIG operations Lahore also replied to the tweet and said that police’s investigation teams have raided two places in Okara in this regard but so far Komal has not been recovered. “Her family released a video on twitter, complaining about slow action by police. Both SP Operations and SP Investigation approached parents of Komal Patras and met them in person,” he added.

On April 4, a 15-year-old Christian transgender, identified as Musa, was gang-raped and murdered by the ‘local thugs’ in Faisalabad.

Activist Shaan Taseer posted a photo on Facebook, wherein he demanded Minister Shireen Mazari to take action against the perpetrators. “15 years old Musa, a Christian transgender was gang raped and murdered by local thugs in Faisalabad on April 4, 2020. Despite multiple witnesses, no action has been taken by the Batala Colony Police Station,” the activist said.
