Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javaid Bajwa has similar qualities of former president Gen Zia-ul-Haq.
The federal minister in an interview to journalist Ajmal Jami and Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami on their show Nuqta-e-Nazar, compared COAS Bajwa with the former military dictator. “Yes, I think Gen Bajwa has similar qualities of Gen Zia-ul-Haq,” he said in a response to the question of Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami.

Earlier this month, Sheikh Rasheed had said that Prime Minister Imran Khan always does as the Pakistan army says. The minister expressed these views during an interview to journalist Fareeha Idrees on her show. “I want to remove everyone’s misconceptions that there is any differences between PM Imran and Pakistan military. They are on the same page. The prime minster agrees to whatever the army says.”
He had said that army was standing firm behind the premier and ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). “PM Imran and army are on same line and length,” he added.
