16 Doctors Of General Hospital Lahore Test Positive For Coronavirus
Lahore General Hospital (LGH)’s 16 doctors tested positive for the deadly coronavirus in last one week while fighting against the pandemic at frontlines.

The hospital administration has written a letter to the hospital’s chief, saying: “16 doctors of orthopaedic department of LGH got covid-19 during last one week and remaining doctors are in quarantine.”



The letter suggested the closure of the department for at least 10 days to prevent further spread of the virus among the doctors, health workers, and the patients admitted in the hospital.

The fatal coronavirus has claimed 1,010 lives in Pakistan, while 14,155 patients have recovered successfully and have been discharged from the hospitals.

The national tally of coronavirus confirmed cases has risen to 47,394, with the provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan confirming 16,685, 18,694, 6,815, 2,968 cases respectively. Meanwhile, 579 cases in Gilgit-Baltistan, 1,235 in Islamabad, and 148 in Kashmir have been reported to date.
