Young Tableeghi Jamaat Member Tortured By Hindutva Mob In India
A 22-year-old boy, identified as Mehboob Ali, was thrashed in Indian capital by Hinduvta violent mob for attending a Tableeghi Jamaat conference, according to the country’s police officials.
Indian news outlet Maktoob reported that the hatred campaign launched by Indian Hindutva groups against the Tablighi Jamaat, through which they are consistent being shamed, is enabling hate crimes against the Muslim communities residing in Delhi.
The report claimed that Mebhoob Ali had attended a Tablighi Jamaat conference in Madhya Pradesh, after which he returned to Delhi in a vehicle of vegetables after 45 days. When Ali reached his village, rumours spread that he had a ‘plan’ to spread coronavirus.
In a result of these rumours, Ali was thrashed by a violent mob in the fields on Sunday. He was also threatened by the mob that they would be set him on fire.
“The mob took him to the field by force, despite the fact that the 22 year old Muslim youth kept pleading for mercy with folded hands. The assault on him continued and was filmed by one of the attackers,” the report claimed.
The Young Tableeghi Jamaat member was taken to Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, where he was referred to GB Pant Hospital as his health condition got deteriorated.
