‘Total Eyewash’: Twitterati React to Cabinet Reshuffle
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decision to reshuffle the cabinet has generated wide-ranging commentary on social media.
PTI supporters are calling it an accountability exercise, as Khusro Bakhtiar, who was named as one of the beneficiaries of the sugar crisis in the country in a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) report was removed from the ministry of Food Security.
However, others have said that Bakhtiar is now given another important ministry of Economic Affairs which negates the idea that the reshuffle was a corrective action to hold the accused accountable.
So basically, after sugar crisis report: 1. JKT says nothing has happened to him 2. Khusro B has simply been given another ministry 3. Razzak Dawood remains adviser on trade and commerce. And others have made a re-entry. As someone said, ‘Afternoon of the Blunt Knives’ more like.

Khusro Bakhtiar got promoted
JKT got fired from a post that doesn’t exist
I guess Abdur Razzak Dawood & Popalzai are the biggest casualties of the grand eyewash created by IK

Post wheat and sugar crisis report reshuffle:
Khusro Bakhtiar removed as minister food security, given economic affairs ministry. This is his third ministry in the Khan cabinet.
Fakhar Imam gets Bakhtiyar’s ministry.
Hammad Azhar made Minister Industries.

And some couldn’t help but point out the irony of this situation.
Still laughing at Khusro Bakhtiar being caught red handed mid scam. And then being elevated to Minister of Economic Affairs in what is meant to be the LEAST KRRUPT government in the history of the whole entire world.

Doctors protesting for PPE are beaten up and jailed. Meanwhile, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, accused of corruption in the sugar scandal, is promoted to the post of Federal Minister for Economic Affairs.
This would've been extremely comic if the consequences were not so tragic.

Khusro Bakhtiar is so competent that he has been appointed to a 3rd different ministry in 18 months.
Earlier, he had revolutionised the planning and development ministry as well as the food security ministry.

Things did escalate pretty fast, leaving a lot of political commentators in shock.
A moment of silence for Insafis who went from praising Imran Khan for removing Khusro Bakhtiar to defending & praising him for giving him a promotion, all within a space of 10 minutes🤪

But some PTI supporters are convinced it was a step towards ‘transparency’.
Khusro Bakhtiyar offered his resignation amid of report inquiries and denied taking another designated ministry. Imran Khan and his chosen people, all are taking a right step to transparency in a Pakistan we’ve been promised for.
