Fake News Alert: Ex-Afghan Army Brigadier Wrongly Shown As Labourer In Viral Photo
Journalist Izharullah, on Twitter, fact checked Farhatullah Babar's post about the Afghan soldier whose photos were doing the rounds on social media. According to Izharullah, the tweet claiming that an 88 year old Afghan soldier indulged in manual labour was without aid from the government is fake news, and he was in fact provided food for four months and a 10k funding per month by the Afghan government.

He also claims that the man was actually named Daud Shah and not Shah Mehmud Niazi. He served in the Afghan army during the Zahir Shah era for two years.
