'End Of An Era': Tributes Pour In For Bollywood's Beloved 'Chintu'
Bollywood legend Rishi Kapoor has passed away in Mumbai’s H N Reliance Hospital. Soon after the news of his death broke, many Bollywood stars, politicians, and public personalities of both Pakistan and India took to social media to pay homage to the late veteran actor.

The actor's family has confirmed his death in a message saying his life had ended peacefully.“Rishi was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning after he complained of breathing difficulties,” the veteran actor’s brother Randhir Kapoor told the Press Trust of India.

Rishi Kapoor’s demise news was revealed by his old fellow Amitabh Bachchan on Twitter.



Kapoor, who has been quite active on social media, hasn't posted anything on his Twitter account since April 2. On March 19, he requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to ensure that people of Pakistan were taking adequate precaution to fight against the deadly coronavirus. “People of Pakistan are also dear to us. Once we were one. We are concerned too. This is a global crisis. No ego matter this. We love you guys. Humanity zindabad!,” he added.

The late Bollywood actor was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018. He returned to India in last September after a year-long course of treatment in New York. In February, he was hospitalised twice due to his health issues. After his return to Mumbai, he was again admitted to a hospital with viral fever.
