Coronavirus Lockdown: Daughters Carry Father’s Dead Body To The Crematorium On Their Shoulders
ALIGARH, India: A Tuberculosis patient Sanjay Kumar on Thursday died after failing to get proper medical treatment due to the Coronavirus lockdown. Sanjay, a father of five daughters, sold tea to support his family.

Indian media reports that Sanjay hadn’t died of Coronavirus but he was unable to get proper medical treatment for his TB because of the lockdown.

His family also told that Sanjay’s condition had worsened during the lockdown.

No one was ready to perform the final rites of the deceased due to the fear of Coronavirus and also the restrictions imposed on movement under the lockdown. Unable to find help, Sanjay’s daughters carried the dead body to the crematorium on their shoulders and also performed the final rites of their father.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced lockdown throughout the country on March 25. 199 people have died in India due to Coronavirus while the number of verified Coronavirus patients in the country has reached 6,653.
