Zulfi Bukhari Sues Khawaja Asif For Blaming Him For Coronavirus Spread
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari has filed a defamation suit of Rs1 billion against Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif for his claims that Bukhari influenced the return of pilgrims from Iran to Pakistan via Taftan without placing them in quarantine.
Dawn reported that Zulfi Bukhari writes in his application that the PML-N leader had accused him of being responsible 'for allowing a flood of Zaireen [to enter Pakistan] from Iran without any quarantine or isolation as required by law and social responsibility norms'.

According to Bukhari, Khawaja Asif blamed him for the spread of the coronavirus, He further mentions that Asif later tweeted that those responsible for the Covid-19 deaths in the country were Prime Minister Imran Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Zulfiqar Bukhari.
