Quarantined Tableeghi Jamaat Member Stabs Policeman To Escape Isolation Centre

A Tableeghi Jamaat member who was placed in quarantine in Layyah district of Punjab injured a policeman by attacking him with knife while trying to escape the isolation centre. SHO Ashraf Maalki sustained injuries in the attack and was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital for medical assistance.

According to reports, the coronavirus suspect attacked the policeman when he tried to stop him from fleeing the quarantine facility.

Superintendent Police Atif Nazar took to Twitter to share details of the unfortunate incident and urged the public to understand that the police are trying to protect them from the deadly virus. "Listen to them and respect them for their duty", he wrote.
