Punjab MPA Invents 'Anti-Corona Gate' To Keep Mosques Open
Moavia Azam Tariq, member of the Punjab Assembly from Jhang, has appeared in a video offering a new solution to keep mosques and other public gatherings open: an “anti-Corona” walk-through gate which purportedly protects people from the virus. He claims that this walk-through gate was built by the efforts of a sub-engineer of the Municipal Corporation. It was accomplished in “just 10 hours of hard work” and the expenditure of Rs. 182,000.

According to Moavia Azam Tariq, the installation of these devices outside mosques would keep those entering safe from infection by the Coronavirus. He proposes it as a solution for the Punjab government to address the discontent from religious circles due to the imposition of restrictions on public gatherings and places of worship as part of efforts to contain the ongoing pandemic.
