Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Faisal Javed on Friday rubbished the claims about Prime Minister Imran Khan having contractd the coronavirus. He issued a statement in response to a British publication that reported that the PM had tested positive for the virus.
In a tweet, Javed said: “News regarding PM Imran Khan tested positive for #Covid19 is NOT True. Please refrain from spreading Fake News.”
The outlet ran a ticker that read, “Prime Minister Imran Khan tests positive for coronavirus," a ticker on the web channel had claimed.
The coronavirus has taken over 26,000 lives across the world while more than a million have been infected by it people around the globe.
