Pakistan’s Sixth Coronavirus Patient Returned From Iran

Sixth case of novel coronavirus has been reported in Pakistan on Thursday. The 69-year-old patient had returned from Iran on February 25.


Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr Zafar Mirza took to Twitter to inform people that the patient was ‘in clinically stable condition’ and ‘being well taken care of’.


According to a news report published in DAWN, Media Coordinator to the Health and Population Welfare Minister Meeran Yousuf confirmed said confirmed that the patient had returned from Iran on February 25.


She said “the health department was already monitoring the situation, so when he started showing symptoms, officials took his samples and sent them for testing. The patient is currently in isolation at a hospital, while his family members have been quarantined for the time being.”


Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, while taking notice of the case has directed the officials to trace and test all those who have been in contact with the patient. So far, six patients have been diagnosed with the deadly virus in different regions of the country.
