Man Who Burnt Five Women Including Wife Says Was 'Angry' As Wife Cheated
Hyderabad police confirmed on Thursday, that the man, who burnt five women, including his wife and mother-in-law, to death has confessed to the crime. The man said he was ‘extremely angry’ and he committed this crime because his wife had allegedly cheated on him.

According to a news report published in The News, the man in his confessional statement told police that his wife had left him for another man, which made him ‘extremely angry’. “To exact revenge, I went to my in-laws' house and locked the room, where my wife, mother-in-law, and sisters-in-law were sleeping — from outside before setting it on fire,” he confessed.

Five women, including a 50-year-old widow had died in a fire that had erupted on night of March 8, inside a flat in Hyderabad's S.I.T.E area. Neighbors suspicioned that the blaze was not accidental, and it was confirmed on Thursday that the incident was pre-planned. According to an official, police tracked and detained the suspect, when he arrived at the crime scene to meet his children. The official said that the suspect then confessed to his crime during the police interrogation.

Police further added that the suspect was the husband of one of the women who were killed. The remaining four were his wife's mother and sisters.
