Controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has responded to the GEO network's suspension of his contract in a short statement released on social media by rejecting demands for an apology over his earlier abusive appearance on a Neo TV programme.
In his statement, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar claims that the demand for an apology for him is meant only to satisfy “a few foreign-funded feminists”. He further states that he is happy to sacrifice his contract with GEO for his “noble cause” and submits himself to “the will of Allah.” He also assures the public that he will never work with the network again for the rest of his life.
