Former senator Waqar Gulzar’s sister Nazia Gulzar, after attending a 60-persons gathering has tested positive for coronavirus in Lahore. Following the case, Punjab government has started conducting the tests of all those whom the patient has been in contact with.
Newspaper Pakistan Today reported that Nazia had attended a gathering at a posh cafe in Lahore, where at least 60 people were also present. The cafe’s staff and all the family members of Nazia have been quarantined after the patient tested positive for coronavirus.
The newspaper reported that Gulzar family used to visit foreign countries frequently and now the district administration has also sealed their house.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Model Town Zeeshan Ranjha also visited Gulzar House and had a meeting with the family members. Ranjha confirmed the report and said, “Nazia Gulzar is a sister of former senator Waqar Gulzar, and currently she is being treated at Mayo Hospital.”
