Woman Arrested For Raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ Slogans In India
A woman student activist has been arrested in Bengaluru, India on Thursday, under sedition charges for raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans at a rally in protest against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) organized an anti-CAA rally in Bengaluru, in which a woman, identified as Amulya Leona, started raising pro-Pakistan slogans on the stage, after which men on stage snatched mic from her. Later, police came and arrested the student activist. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi was also present there.

Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi has said, “the statement made her by the girl (Amulya Leona) is wrong. My party does not support it, as long I’m alive, Inshallah, I will shout Bharat Ma ki jai.”

The judicial magistrate has denied the bail of student activist, she will be kept in judicial custody till February 23.

The student activist was earlier detained by the Bengaluru police after she created a ruckus shouting “Hindustan Zindabad and Pakistan Zindabad” a few times before the mic was taken away from her.
