Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza has confirmed the first two cases of coronavirus in the country.
"I can confirm first two cases of coronavirus in Pakistan. Both cases are being taken care of according to clinical standard protocols & both of them are stable," he tweeted
He added that there was no need to panic as things were under control, adding that he would give further details tomorrow. "No need to panic, things are under control," he added, announcing that he will hold a press conference tomorrow on his return from Taftan."
Earlier today, Mirza had denied the reports of coronavirus cases in Pakistan while talking to a private TV channel.
