Stop Blaming Army For Your Own Incompetence, Ahsan Iqbal Tells Govt
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government have successfully been covering up their poor governance by putting the responsibility of their failures on army.
Ahsan Iqbal, while talking to media during his hearing in Narowal Sports City case, has said “PTI shifts blame on military for their failures, when they say government and army is on same page. He questioned, “Is army directing you [PTI] to not run economic affairs of the country and do poor governance?”
He further said PTI is weakening the state institutions and the country through this blame game. “PM Imran is trying to protect his government’s incompetence through dragging army into government’s affairs.
The former minister said this will make our state institutions controversial. He asked the government to acknowledge their failures and stop blaming army and state institutions for their own poor governance.
