PTI MNA Files Complaint Against Satirical Show Host For Suggesting PM Imran Is Drug Addict
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Shaukat Ali has submitted an application to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cybercrime cell, against Khalid Butt, Faysal Chaudhry, and Mustafa Chaudhry, hosts of a satirical show on NEO TV for ‘insulting’ Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shaukat Ali, claimed in his application that Khalid Butt shared a video clip on January 29, in which the anchor attempted to show that the prime minister is an addict injecting drugs. He said the clip was based on a ‘lie’ and ‘accusation’.

Khalid Butt along with his team hosts a satirical political show on NEO News. The episode from January 29 was based on PM Khan’s speech in Karachi, in which he had said that the nurse, who took care of him at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital, after he fell from stage before the 2013 elections, looked like a ‘hoor’.

Khalid Butt while talking to SAMAA Digital on this matter, said “this is the first time it is happening, in this democratic government, we are facing more pressure.” He further said so far FIA has not approached him or anyone from the team regarding the case.
