In an embarrassing moment, President Dr Arif Alvi, while addressing the Sibi Mela 2020, held in Balochitsan, forgot the names of Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan.
President was greeting the attendees of festival, when he mistakenly referred to Balochistan chief minister as ‘Jamal Khan Ailyani’ instead of his real name Jam Kamal Khan. He encountered this embarrassing situation, when he was thanking the authorities for organizing such a colorful event in Balochistan.
Dr Arif Alvi also forgot the name of Governor Balochistan, calling him ‘Amanullah Khan Yousafzai’.
Earlier, addressing the inaugural ceremony, the president said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would open up new avenues of progress and prosperity and change destiny of the country, especially Balochistan. “The federal government is paying special attention to end the sense of deprivation of the local people,” he added.
A Twitter user slammed President, saying that it’s a shame that head of state does not even knows the name of CM Balochistan.
