Once Imran Khan Supported Digital Freedoms. Now He Wants To Muzzle Them

Prime Minister Imran Khan had in the past criticised Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) introduced by the then government of PMLN in 2016, terming it a ‘fascist bill’ meant to curb free speech. His past statements over the Act are being shared on social media in the wake of PTI government’s proposed bill to restrict digital freedom in the country.
Journalist Farieha Aziz shared a series of statements from Imran Khan which will now haunt him as his government plans to do precisely what he criticised the PMLN for.
