Gomal University Closed, Female Students Forced To Vacate Hostels After Protest Against Fee Hike
Following a protest by the students of Gomal University, DI Khan against fees hikes, the administration has closed down the university, forcibly vacating the hostel which is mostly in possession of female students.

Students had been protesting against fee hikes for the last week. University’s chief proctor on February 14, instead of addressing the grievances of students, had issued a notification, expelling 13 students, for peacefully exercising their constitutional right to protest.

The university administration has also filed First Information Report (FIR) against the students. Recently, the protestors were arrested and manhandled by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has posted a press release on their Twitter handle, saying that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has supported the ongoing protest of students at Gomal University.
