Academic Ammar Ali Jan condemned the incident saying that the IJT brings a bad name to student politics
Islami Jamiat Tuleba continues to bring a terrible name to student politics. IJT has consistently impeded critical thinking & cultural expression on Punjab University's campus.
Progressive students are bravely building an alternative force on campus. They deserve our support. https://t.co/QCwADYoL8Q

People have criticised the incident and expressed concerns on the declining freedom in educational institutions. May have said that cultural activities on campuses should not be seen as a threat.
While I was enrolled here I refrained from saying or posting anything on social media, but this is the reality of Punjab University. This happens EVERY year on Culture Day. Every year.
Boggles me when u believe Pakistan isn’t a racist country itself. https://t.co/ZMTwfnWaer
