Amid the violent anti-Muslim riots in India’s capital Delhi, that have claimed 18 lives and injured 200 other people so far, Pakistani Twitter users started praising the country’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah for creating seperate homeland for Muslims in 1947.

Several users took to Twitter to condemn violent riots in Delhi, by thanking Jinnah for ‘understanding the extremist mindset of Hindus’ way before everyone else.

While thanking Jinnah, Economist Mir Mohammad Ali Khan tweeted, Muhammad Ali Jinnah saw what India’s forefathers Nehru and Gandhi failed to see 72 years ago.

State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan, while commenting on the current situation of Muslims in Delhi, said Muhammad Ali Jinnah ‘Vindicated’ today. He said even after 73 years of independence, two nations theory proved to be true.

A user posted a tweet, sharing Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s quote “Muslims who are opposing Pakistan will spend rest of their lives proving loyalty to India.”

Violent protests began in Delhi against the infamous Citizenship Amendment Act on Saturday, but on Monday, the streets of Indian capital became a battlefield between extremist Hindus and Muslim protestors. So far, the riots have claimed the lives of 18 people and have injured 200 people, many of whom in critical situations are admitted in Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.
