A PreHistoric Site With Buddhist Periods Remains Discovered In Islamabad
A prehistoric site, also carrying remains of Buddhist period has been discovered in I-11 sector, Islamabad. This is a new sector that is being developed by the Islamabad administration.


This startling development was shared by scholar of culture Nadeem Omar Tarar.  The C2D team found this site during a reconnaissance survey.

The historical region Gandhara was located what is now the northwestern Pakistan. Gandhara was a trade hub and cultural meeting place between India, Central Asia and the Middle East.

Islamabad falls under this region too and many other Buddhist sites have also been identified here.
