Will Stay In Cabinet Because I Represent Pakistan Not MQM, Says Farogh Naseem
Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem, when asked whether he would stay in the cabinet if Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) decides to quit the government, he said that he represented Pakistan in the cabinet and not a particular party.
While talking to anchor Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News on Monday night, Naseem did not give a clear answer when asked as to which party he represented in the federal cabinet. Although a member of MQM-P, Farogh Naseem shied away from saying he is representative of his party in the government.
On Sunday, MQM-P leader and former IT Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui announced his decision to resign from the cabinet saying that PTI goverment failed to deliver on its promises. He had also said that MQM-P never asked Imran Khan to appoint Farogh Naseem as Law Minister.
