Editor of The Nation and his entire Lahore newsroom staff has resigned on Wednesday in protest over 10-months of unpaid wages.

Journalist Inamullah Khattak revealed this news on his twitter handle, claiming that ‘The Nation has not paid 10-month salaries to the staffers.’

Among those who resigned were some long-serving employees, including the chief news editor. The resignations show the state of Pakistani media – salary cuts, closure of news outlets, and wage delays in the last two years.
