A major accident on the Shalimar Express was avoided due to the skill of a train driver after a railway line broke. The incident occurred during the train's journey from Lahore to Karachi on Saturday.
According to Railway authorities, the line between Sharshameer Station and Pakka Anna Station broke, leaving the train in danger of being derailed.
Railway Police have raised the possibility that someone deliberately did this to harm travelers on the train. The rail tracks themselves were not broken, but the nut bolts of the Fishplate were loosened.
Nevertheless, the alertness and skill of the train driver averted the disaster in the making.
