Prince William Launches Climate Change Initiative Inspired By Pakistan's Hindu Kush Mountains

Prince William has launched a climate change initiative inspired by the Hindu Kush mountains of Pakistan.

The official Instagram account of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a post with a message about climate change with a photo of Prince William sitting with a peak of the Hindu Kush range in the background.

In the post, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reminded their audience of the damage people were doing to the planet. They added that humankind had achieved great things through technology, but the next ten years presented us with the greatest challenge; to repair the earth.

The initiative, called Earthshotprize, is aimed at inspiring the planet’s greatest problem solvers to solve earth’s problems and the emergencies facing the natural world.

While announcing the project, the royals used a picture of Prince William during the recent visit of the UK royals to Pakistan. The prince can be seen sitting at a mountain in Chitral district, with the Hindu Kush mountains in the background.
