Veteran journalist Najam Sethi, in his show Sethi Sey Sawal, has disclosed that the three KP ministers sacked by the provincial government faced this action because they had met the “Big Boss”.
Sethi explained in detail what he sees as the dynamics at play in KP province. According to him, recently sacked minister Atif Khan had been assured by PM Imran Khan that he would be made Chief Minister of the province in time. For now, CM Mahmood Khan would be given the province's top post due to the strong support for him from former CM Pervez Khattak and others within the ruling party. But, it was implied, this was to be only temporary.
Since the promised change of CM in favour of Atif Khan had not yet happened, he and others who supported him went so far as to meet with the “Big Boss”. But this brought upon them the ire of the Prime Minister, and he sacked three ministers.
The three include Atif Khan, minister for sports, culture and tourism; Shahram Khan Tarakai, minister for health; and Shakeel Ahmed, who was in charge of the revenue portfolio.
