A court in Peshawar has rejected Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen's bail application, ordering his transfer to a Dera Ismail Khan jail. The orders come a day after he was arrested and sent to Peshawar Central Jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
According to a report in Dawn, District and sessions judge Muhammad Younis accepted the DI Khan police's request seeking permission to shift Pashteen to DI Khan, where an FIR has been registered against him.
Manzoor Pashteen was not presented in court today. His lawyers including Shahab Khattak, Farhat Afridi and Advocate Fazl represented him in today's proceedings. The court rejected their request of a transit bail for the PTM chief.
