The statement comes the day the National Assembly gave its approval to three bills pertaining the tenure of the services chiefs.

The legislation on the matter has been done according to a ruling of the Supreme Court given in November, which gave an extension of six months to the army chief while making it conditional to lawmaking on the matter.
